KAI Daop 2 Bandung Public Relations Manager, Kuswardojo, said that the success in securing the left behind goods was the result of the preparedness of all officers in the field. “During the Nataru Transport period with a high volume of customers, KAI Daop 2 Bandung officers remain alert in providing the best service, including securing items left behind so they can be returned to their owners,” said Kuswardojo.

Of this amount, the total estimated value of goods left behind reached IDR 182,781,000. The items that were successfully secured were divided into two categories, namely valuable items and ordinary items.

For the valuable goods category, the items most commonly found include: Laptops, cell phones, wallets, iPads, watches, smartwatches, tablets, earphones and power banks. Meanwhile, the categories of ordinary goods that were also seized included: Hats, Books, Tumblers, Helmets, Jackets, Glasses, Sandals and Shoes

To date, it is recorded that 200 items have not been taken by their owners and are still stored safely at the Bandung Station Security Post, Kiaracondong Station and Banjar Station. All goods are guarded in accordance with KAI’s standard security procedures to ensure the safety and integrity of customer goods.

Kuswardojo further appealed to all customers to always be alert and pay attention to their belongings while on the train or in the station area. “However, if a customer experiences a loss of goods, we ensure that the entire Lost and Found handling process is carried out professionally and transparently,” he added.

KAI Daop 2 Bandung appeals to customers who feel they have lost goods while using train services to immediately report and retrieve goods through the Lost and Found mechanism.
