Pelindo Multi Terminal Parepare Alert Supports Fire Extinguishing

PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT), Subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) in the field of operation of the Nonpetikmasas Terminal, again showed its commitment in maintaining the safety of the community around the operational area. Through Branch Parepare, SPMT deployed fire trucks (PMK) to help the fire fighting process that occurred on Jalan Menara, Watang Soreang Village, Soreang District, Parepare City on Tuesday morning (23/9).

As soon as he received a fire report at around 01.30 WITA, the Parepare SPMT team immediately lowered the PMK car unit to the scene. This quick step is a tangible manifestation of the company to be present in the community in an emergency situation, moreover the location of the fire is not far from the port work area.

In addition to the SPMT internal team, the blackout effort was also carried out together with the Parepare City Fire Department. This collaboration succeeded in speeding up the process of handling fire so that losses can be minimized. The local government expressed his appreciation for the involvement of SPMT which showed concern and solidarity with the safety of local residents.

Branch Manager of SPMT Parepare, Beny said that the involvement of the company in handling disasters around the port is part of the main value of SPMT, namely caring and responsible for the social environment.
