PT Railink as the airport train manager in Yogyakarta has implemented an operational schedule effective in 2026. This schedule adjustment was carried out as part of the company’s efforts to improve service quality and ensure optimal connectivity between the center of Yogyakarta City and YIA Airport.
In the latest schedule, KAI Airport operates a total of 50 Airport Train trips every day, consisting of 26 trips between Yogyakarta Station – YIA Station and 24 trips between Yogyakarta Station – Wates Station – YIA Station
For the Yogyakarta – YIA connection, the first trip departs at 04.20 WIB and arrives at YIA Station at 04.59 WIB. Meanwhile, the last trip departs at 20.12 WIB and arrives at 20.47 WIB.
Meanwhile, for YIA – Yogyakarta relations, the first trip starts at 05.16 WIB and arrives at Yogyakarta Station at 05.55 WIB, with the last departure at 21.30 WIB and arrives at 22.05 WIB.
To support people’s mobility needs, KAI Airport offers two types of services, namely YIA Xpress Train and YIA Regular Train. Of the total daily trips, there are 26 YIA Xpress train trips and 24 YIA Regular train trips.
The YIA Xpress train service serves passengers with faster travel times due to limited stops, thereby providing time efficiency for customers who want to go to the airport. Meanwhile, the Regular YIA train continues to serve stops at Wates Station to support connectivity in the surrounding area.
