Jakarta, 27 October 2025 – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 Jakarta announced that all Long Distance Train (KAJJ) trips from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen were running normally and on time on Monday, 27 October 2025. This recovery marks the end of the impact of the Purwojaya train derailment on Saturday, 25 October 2025, at KM 56+1/2 on the Gambir–Cilacap route.
KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, explained that intensive post-incident handling had been carried out by a joint team from Daop 1 Jakarta and related agencies. “The upstream route at the incident location can be passed at a limited speed of 20 km/hour. The downstream route is operating normally,” explained Ixfan.
Increasing the speed of the upstream route will be carried out in stages after inspections, reinforcement of bearings and refinement of traffic geometry are declared safe by the technical team.
Train operations in Daop 1 Jakarta are smooth and on time
As of 06.00 WIB, 22 long-distance trains had departed from Daop 1 Jakarta: 12 trains from Gambir Station and 10 trains from Pasar Senen Station. All trips depart on time with safe, orderly and smooth service and station facilities.
Examples of trains that depart on time:
– Gambir Station: Argo Merbabu (06.00), Argo Semeru (06.20), Papandayan (06.35), Taksaka (07.45), Argo Bromo Anggrek (08.20).
– Pasar Senen Station: Fajar Utama Solo (05.40), Sawunggalih (06.30), Tawangjaya (06.45), Gajahwong (07.55), Airlangga (09.15).
