This activity includes a thorough inspection of railway facilities and station facilities.
KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, explained that the SPM Rampcheck is a comprehensive field evaluation, including completeness of documents, facility readiness and condition of railway facilities. The aim is to guarantee customer safety, security and comfort during the 2025/2026 Christmas period.
“We, together with BTP Class 1 Jakarta and BTP Class 1 Bandung, ensure that all facilities and service facilities meet the minimum standards set by the government. This is crucial to providing a safe, comfortable and memorable travel experience for customers,” said Ixfan.
The implementation of this ramp check is in accordance with Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 63 of 2019 concerning Minimum Service Standards for Transporting People by Train. Apart from ensuring compliance with standards, this rampcheck is also an effort to improve the quality of public services through synergy between KAI and BTP.
“Inspections cover various aspects, starting from waiting rooms, toilets, prayer rooms, health facilities (P3K), wheelchairs, stretchers, to the cleanliness and safety of the station environment,” explained Ixfan.
Inspections were carried out at strategic locations such as Cikampek Station, Karawang Station, Cikarang Station, Jatinegara Station, Gambir Station, Pasar Senen Station, Bekasi Station, Bogor Paledang Station and Sukabumi Station.
Ixfan added that inspections were also carried out directly on a series of trains operating in the Daop 1 Jakarta area, including commercial services and PSO (Public Service Obligation). KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has 45 locomotives, 185 executive and economy class trains, 10 dining and generating trains, 20 generating trains, 20 tourist trains and 55 baggage trains.
“Each component is checked in detail to ensure it functions optimally and meets applicable technical requirements,” he stressed.
KAI Daop 1 Jakarta continues to strengthen cross-unit coordination to ensure operational readiness to face increasing travel volumes during the 2025/2026 Christmas holidays. The inspection covers aspects of safety, comfort and reliability of public service facilities at stations and on trains.
“Rampcheck together with BTP is a real manifestation of synergy between operators and regulators in ensuring that Minimum Service Standards are met.
