Entering the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H, public interest in goods distribution services shows a positive trend. This increase in activity has been visible since the first week before fasting, especially in retail deliveries which are dominated by consumer needs and products for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
KAI Logistik’s retail delivery service, KALOG Express, recorded growth of 16% compared to the normal daily average in the period 18–23 February 2026. In these six days, delivery volume reached 62,397 items or an average of 10,399 items per day, exceeding the regular achievement of around 8,971 items per day.
KAI Logistics Courier Marketing & Sales Manager, Ayi Suryandi, revealed that this trend had begun to appear even before the first day of fasting. “The commodities sent were dominated by retail packages with a contribution of 89% or 55,796 packages from the total shipments. Apart from that, 3,541 animals were sent, 2,133 motorbikes and 927 other items. This variation reflects the increasingly diverse needs of society during the Ramadan period,” explained Ayi.
The company projects that distribution movements will continue to increase until they approach the peak flow of Eid. People’s shopping activities for foodstuffs, Muslim clothing, typical holiday cakes, and various other needs are catalysts that encourage national logistics turnover while strengthening the contribution of the MSME sector in various regions.
The growth trend is also aligned with digital-based services through the KAI Logistics TRAX application which recorded an increase of around 17% compared to normal days. Presence platforms This is increasingly relevant to customer preferences which prioritize convenience, speed and efficiency, especially during fasting.
Through this application, customers can place orders for delivery of goods without needing to visit a service point. The integrated system allows users to access tariff information directly real time, find the nearest service point, utilize goods pickup facilities, real time tracking to make non-cash payments. This digitalization is a practical solution for people who want to remain productive without having to travel during Ramadan activities.
In addition, service strengthening is supported by a network of more than 280 points Service Point spread across Java, Bali and Sumatra, carrying capacity of up to 300 kilograms, as well as flexibility in sending various commodities ranging from documents, packages, bicycles, to motorbikes. With this operational readiness, the company ensures smooth distribution in various regions.
“We are committed to providing adaptive and reliable services to support people’s needs during Ramadan. With the support of an extensive network, operational optimization and digital innovation that has been carried out, we are optimistic that we can maintain service quality and provide an increasingly easy and reliable delivery experience for customers,” concluded Ayi.
