This year’s annual event for the UGM Korean Language and Culture Undergraduate Study Program, namely Korean Days, was successfully held on 14 – 15 November 2025.
Korean Days itself is an event that consists of various series of activities and presents various South Korean cultures in one event.
This year, the 20th Korean Days has a theme "Seonlight Carnival: Welcome to the 20th Dream" which has many activities, such as hanbok stands, dongari collaborations, exhibitions, noraebang, and random play dances.
Not only that, the 20th Korean Days event was also enlivened by Taekwondo UGM, Maze Culture, Azthrone, Rifkurt, and Zhavanya.
According to Rahadita Sekar Dea Alita, General Coordinator, the 20th Korean Days event succeeded in attracting more than 600 people a day. The visitors were also very enthusiastic and interested in the various series of events, especially the noraebang and dongari collaborations which were the most popular.
On the other hand, there are prominent differences from this year’s 20th Korean Days event.
"This year’s Korean Dayas was held in two different venues and in direct collaboration with KCCI, where there were many activities and expos that were much more interesting. Not only that, we also bring in famous hanbok designers, traditional markets, and various new and more diverse food tenants." Said Rahadita Sekar Dea Alita when interviewed online (20/11/2025).
On the other hand, it is acknowledged that the existence of the Korean Days event every year has an impact in that many people understand more about Korean culture which has not received much attention from foreigners, such as traditional food and traditional Korean musical instruments.
"With the Korean Days event, we hope that Korean culture can be better known to a wider audience. Apart from that, hopefully Korean Days in the future can be more lively, able to attract more viewers, and can still be a bridge connecting Korean culture with Indonesian cultures, like how Korean Days should be." Rahadita Sekar Dea Alita explained.
