PT Link Net Tbk (“Linknet”, Issuer Code: “LINK”) again shows its sustainability efforts through the New Home-Pass, New Tree program. This time it was carried out by planting thousands of trees in three locations, namely Pemalang, Cilacap and Bantul for three consecutive days, 15-17 October 2025.
Linknet participated in the “Mageri Segoro” activity, namely simultaneous mangrove planting along the north and south coast of Central Java. Collaborating with various parties by planting 3,000 mangrove trees in Pesantren Village, Pemalang and 3,000 mangrove trees in Bondan Hamlet, Ujung Alang Village, Cilacap.
Meanwhile in Bantul, Linknet planted 2,000 rare trees and bamboo in the former Pundong Bantul Freshwater Fish Cultivation Center complex which is included in the Mataram Cultural Village Area.
Chief of People & Corporate Affairs PT Link Net Tbk Yosafat Marhasak Hutagalung explained the background of the New Home-Pass, New Tree planting program.
“The aim of the program is sustainability, that every time Linknet builds a homepass or connectivity, to houses, shophouses and offices in the city, we will balance the carbon footprint we produce by planting trees. We hope that this planting will not only have an environmental impact, but also an economic and social impact for the surrounding community,” explained Yosafat.
In implementing this program, Linknet collaborates with various parties, including the Bantul Regency Government, the Central Java Province Environment and Forestry Service, Pertamina Foundation through PT Adi Askara Bumi, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Cilacap State Polytechnic, and local environmental activist communities.
“We who are involved in this program have the same commitment to sustainability, so collaboration is important to move society. Hopefully this collaboration will be an inspiration for other entities to take part in real sustainability actions, because the sustainability of life is not just the responsibility of one party, but the responsibility of all of us,” said Pertamina Foundation President Director Agus Mashud S. Asngari.
This planting program was appreciated by various parties. Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih said that the Linknet program was the right response to climate change while supporting the development of regional potential.
“Considering that Bantul is an environmental buffer zone for the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), the presence of this Linknet program is appropriate to support efforts to preserve the environment as well as help the development of creative industries in Bantul by planting trees which is our need for production centers,” said Halim.
Meanwhile, CDK Region V Pemalang representative, Daryono, said that the presence of the Linknet program supports efforts to restore coastal ecosystems.
“Restoring the coastal ecosystem of Pesantren Village is crucial because every time it rains heavily, this village experiences abrasion and tidal floods which worsen the condition of the community. For this reason, the presence of Linknet at “Mageri Segoro” is also a moment to increase community awareness of the importance of mangroves in the area where they live,” emphasized Daryono.
The planting initiative through the New Home-Pass, New Tree program is in line with Sustainable Development Goals points 13 (Tackling Climate Change), 15 (Preserving Ocean Ecosystems), and 8 (Economic Growth and Decent Work).
Through this activity, Linknet emphasizes its active role as a digital service provider company that not only focuses on innovation and infrastructure, but also on environmental sustainability and community empowerment.
