Dozens of Passengers Left Behind During Christmas, KAI Divre IV Tanjungkarang Urges to Come Early

During the implementation of the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) transportation for the period 18 to 30 December 2025, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Division IV Tanjungkarang noted that there were still customers who missed their trains due to delays in arriving at the station. This happens because train trips continue to run according to the predetermined departure schedule.

Head of PT KAI (Persero) Regional Division IV Tanjungkarang, Mohamad Ramdany, emphasized that KAI cannot delay train departures to wait for passengers who arrive late. This is done to maintain punctual travel times and overall smooth train operations.

“Trains depart according to a predetermined schedule. Therefore, we urge all customers to come early to the station so that they have sufficient time for the ticket checking process and departure preparations,” said Ramdany.

He added, during the Christmas holidays, traffic density on a number of roads leading to the station tends to increase. This condition has the potential to cause delays if it is not anticipated with careful travel time planning.

“We advise customers to allow more time when heading to the station, considering that the potential for traffic jams during the holiday period is quite high,” he added.

As an anticipatory step, KAI Divre IV Tanjungkarang urges customers to arrive at the station at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before the scheduled departure, especially during rush hours and the peak flow of the Nataru holiday. By arriving early, customers are expected to be able to travel more calmly, safely and comfortably.
