Thermax welcomed the Ministry of Industry’s visit to the facilities in Cilegon


PT Thermax Indonesia received an official visit from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) at the company’s manufacturing facilities located in Cilegon, last Monday (08/25).

The delegation was led by Andi Rizaldi, Head of the Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency (BSKJI), together with Apit Male Nugraha, Head of the Green Industry Center.

TheMax Commitment to Indonesia

In his remarks, Rabindranath Pillai, President Director of PT Thermax Indonesia, emphasized the company’s commitment to the sustainability and local labor.

“We are committed to continuing to invest in Indonesia, expand facilities, and prioritize local workers. At present more than 90% of our employees are Indonesian sons and daughters. In the future, we will increase capacity and present more job opportunities for the community,” Rabindranath said.

During this visit, representatives of the Ministry of Industry expressed their appreciation of Thermax’s steps. Andi Rizaldi said:

“We are committed to nine industrial associations, such as cement, steel, and fertilizer, to achieve net zero emission 2050. The government will continue to support the green technology offered by the industry, including by Thermax, so that it is in line with the national target,” said Andi.

In line with that, Apit Male Nugraha emphasized the need for concrete cooperation.

“From this meeting, we need to create something more tangible. The technology offered not only increases efficiency, but also provides compliance for the industry. The government will support so that solutions as presented by Thermax can be part of green transformation,” he said.

Long -term investment

Thermax Indonesia has been operating since 2017 with a focus on clean energy solutions, industrial efficiency, and water and waste treatment. In addition to producing boilers, in 2024 companies also began to develop chemical factory to support the needs of water boilers.

“With the support of the government and the industrial world, we are optimistic that we can continue to expand contributions in Indonesia. Our presence here is not only for today, but a long -term investment to support the national energy transition agenda,” added Rabindranath Pillai.
